I got tired of eating bland tofu dishes while I was dieting, so I came up with this recipe.

Please adjust the mentsuyu to your taste! You can use any leftover vegetables! But don't leave out the leek since it really makes a difference! Recipe by Shoumami

Ingredients

  2. 1 blockTofu (firm)
  3. 1/2Leek
  4. 1/4Carrot
  5. 1Bell pepper
  6. 1/2pack Shimeji mushrooms
  7. 2 tspOil
  8. 1 tbspFlour
  9. 90 mlMentsuyu
  10. 60 mlWater
  11. 1 tspSugar
  12. 1 1/2cm ♥ Grated ginger in a tube
  13. 1/2 tbsp♥ Katakuriko

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the tofu in half, line a plate with paper towels, put the tofu on top and microwave for 2 minutes to drain excess water.

    Slice the leek on the diagonal. Finely julienne the other vegetables.

  3. 3

    Combine the ♥ ingredients.

  4. 4

    Half the tofu lengthwise (a total of 4 pieces) and dredge with flour. Pan fry with 1 teaspoon of oil until golden brown over medium heat.

    Take out the fried tofu. Add another teaspoon of oil to the same frying pan and stir fry the leek and carrot, then the bell pepper and shimeji mushroom, and continue stir-frying. Add the ingredients in order according to how long they take to cook!

    When the vegetables are cooked, add the sauce from Step 3, and when it has thickened, pour it over the tofu from Step 4 and it's done.
