Sunday Morning Pancakes

Family tradition was to always make pancakes with the kiddo in my house growing up. I decided to continue doing that with my daughter. This is simple enough my 3 yo can help! But yummy enough everyone loves them! Our favorite is with strawberries, blueberries and white chocolate chips added in! (Main picture)

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Tip: Allow the eggs and milk come to room temperature. This allows for the smoothest mixture to be created.
- 2
Whisk the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Form a well in the dry ingredients and add the wet to combine, adding melted butter last. Whisk until incorporated.

I always use a measuring cup to scoop the batter into a hot skillet. Helps with consistency on size! This recipe makes 8 ~5 inch pancakes using a 1/3 cup scoop.

Christmas Morning Pancakes Christmas Morning Pancakes
Red and Green pancakes on Christmas morning have been a tradition at our house since the 1960's. I vividly recall my dad making these in our basement on Christmas morning (yes, we had a stove in our basement) because he always made such a mess when he cooked that my mother would not let him use the kitchen stove! This recipe uses powdered buttermilk which you can find with the condescend milk at your grocery store. It keeps much longer than liquid buttermilk and you have it when you need it.GrampE

Step 8: I love eating cottage cheese mixed with jam, so I made this. This week's theme is pancakes, so I thought I'd try this combination. If you don't have a non-stick pan, oiling the pan with butter rather than oil makes it taste good. If you're not going to eat these right away, wrap with plastic and put in the refrigerator. In this case, heat the chilled pancakes in the microwave until they soften.
