Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsplit green moong dal
  2. 1fistful fresh spinach leaves
  3. 1fistful fresh coriander leaves
  4. 4-5green chillies
  5. 1 inch ginger chopped
  6. 1 tspcummin seeds
  7. as per tasteSalt
  8. as requiredOil for shallow fry
  9. as requiredGreen coriander leaves chutney to serve with chilla

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and soak split green moong dal for 6 hours or overnight. Wash and discard skin 5-6 times with clean water.

    In mixer jar add green chillies ginger, de skin split green moong dal, chopped fresh spinach and coriander leaves. Grind it into smooth batter.(If needed add little water).

    Transfer grinded moong dal spinach batter in mixing bowl. Add salt and cummin seeds. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Heat griddle. Add 1 tsp oil and grease it with tissue paper. Pour 2-3 tbsp of moong dal spinach batter and spread in circular motion to make round chilla. Drizzle oil.

    Cook on both sides. Similarly prepare all Spinach Moong dal Chilla.

    Serve/ Relish delicious hot Spinach Moong dal Chilla with coriander leaves chutney.
