Basbousa or semolina cake is originated from turkey though popular in other countries it is cooked like the cake we know in a pan and then later sweetened with sugar syrup. Best served warm. Though I haven’t sweetened mine after been baked because my dad does not like too much sugar
Cooking Instructions

Mix all dry ingredients together and wet ingredients together then combine

In a pan, put a baking sheet and pour batter. Spread evenly. Arrange peanut

Bake in preheated oven on 180°c for 15mins - 20. And cut in desired shapes

It’s a sweet cake and a crumb cake made specifically to mark a date or event in some areas . I made it for a pregnant friend who has a sweet tooth. She always come to my house searching my fridge for anything sweet that’s y I decided to make something special for her.
