Ingredients

35 minutes
4-5 servings
  1. 1/2 cupsemolina
  2. 1/2 cupflour
  3. 1/2 cupplain yogurt
  4. 1/2 cupvegetable oil
  5. 1/2 cupsugar
  6. 1egg
  7. 1 tspbaking powder
  8. 1 cupdesiccated coconut
  9. Sugar syrup
  10. 1/2 cupsugar
  11. 1/2 cupwater
  12. 1 tbsprose water (optional)
  13. 1 tspcoconut flavor
  14. Decoration
  15. Nuts or raisins

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    In a clean bowl,beat egg and sugar till foamy, add in yoghurt and oil and mix together. Add in semolina,flour,coconut and baking powder and mix till incorporated.

    Pour batter in a greased pan and spread evenly,add nuts raisins on the batter for a more beautiful look and place pan in a heated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes

    While semolina cake is in the oven,on high heat pour water in a pot and add the sugar and mix to dissolve,boil the sugar for 2-3 minutes add your flavor and rose water and stir,take off the heat and allow to cool

    When the cake is all done immediately pour the flavored syrup all over the cake and keep in the fridge to chill for 30-1hour. Cut the cake into any shape of ur choice

    NOTE: instead of half flour you can use 1 cup of semolina,for the syrup you can add any flavor of your choice.
