Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 200 grams・Sweet potato
  2. 200 grams・Onion
  3. 200 ml・Water
  4. 1 tbsp・Beet sugar (or cane sugar)
  5. 1/2 tsp・Salt
  6. 1 tbsp・Soy sauce
  7. 1/2 tsp・Kombu dashi stock granules
  8. 1・Canola oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cut the onions and sweet potato into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Heat canola oil in a pan and sauté the onions.

  3. 3

    When the onions have softened, add the sweet potato cubes.

  4. 4

    Add the water, soy sauce, sugar, dashi granules and salt to the pan, and simmer until the potatoes can easily be pierced with a skewer.

  5. 5

    Turn off the heat, and cover with a lid to let the flavors meld.
