Potato Salad Christmas Tree

I was holding a Christmas party for my kids and their friends, and I thought they might like it if I made a Christmas-themed variation on their favorite potato salad – this is what I came up with.

This is so simple: pile up the potato salad from the bottom and make it into a cone! After that, all you need to do is decorate the tree with colorful ingredients. Recipe by shoko

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1Ham and cucumber potato salad
  2. For decoration
  3. 2florets Broccoli
  4. 1Frozen mixed vegetables
  5. 1/3Carrot, sliced
  6. 2Thinly sliced ham
  7. 2Radish
  8. 1Chervil (or Italian parsley)
  9. 6+ pieces Pink peppercorn

Cooking Instructions

    Make ham and cucumber potato salad as normal.

  2. 2

    Using a cookie cutter, stamp out star shapes from the ham and carrot.

  3. 3

    Cook the carrots, broccoli and mixed vegetables in lightly salted boiling water.

  4. 4

    Shape the potato salad into a cone, and decorate with the carrots, broccoli, and mixed vegetables.

    Place the radish slices around the tree, then place the chervil and pink peppercorn on top of the radish.

    This dish adds a touch of Christmas to any dinner table.
