Ingredients

  1. sardines (fresh or frozen)
  2. 1/4 cupolives or vegetable oil
  3. 1 tspPower garlic
  4. 1 piecesbay leaves
  5. 1/3 cupwater
  6. 1 tspWhite pepper
  7. 1 tbspvinegar (or lemon juice)
  8. 1tsp Black pepper
  9. Pinchsalt

Cooking Instructions

    Cut off the heads, gut then clean the sardines. Use scisso rs to trim
    In a casserole or medium pot arrange the sardines at the bottom.

    Evenly distribute salt, white pepper,black pepper, garlic, carrots, olives oil, and on top of the sardines.

    Pour water, vinegar/lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix thoroughly

    Add more water if needed to make sure that the sardines are submerged in liquids.

  5. 5

    Bring it to boil over medium-low heat. Once it boils, add the vinegar. Let it cook for an hour or 1 ½ hour or until the liquids are reduced to half and only the oil is left.

    Transfer in a serving dish and enjoy!Note
    If you prefer to use a pressure cooker, it will take 30 to 40 minutes cooking.
