Ingredients

Soaked 3 hr pre 30 min

  1. 1 cupMoong dal
  2. A fewsaffron soaked in milk
  3. 1 tbspmilk
  4. 1/2 cupghee
  5. 2 cupwarm milk
  6. 1 cupsugar
  7. 3cardamom
  8. 2 tbspcashew nuts chopped
  9. 2 tbspalmond chopped
  10. 2 tbsppistachio

Cooking Instructions

    To make moong dal
    halwa, soak the
    yellow moong dal in
    enough water for 3
    hours. Drain well.

    Blend in a mixer to a
    coarse paste with 1
    tbsp water. Keep
    aside.

    Heat the ghee in a nonstick pan add the yellow moong dal paste and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes.while storing continuously.

    Next add 2 cup milk mix well and cook on medium flame for 15 mins.Then add sugar mix well and cook it for 5 mins.

    Then add saffron milk mixture and cardamom mix well and cook few minutes.

    Then take another pan add in ghee and add chopped nuts fry it low medium flame. Then pour into the halwa. Mix it and pour on the plate make a shape and after 5 minutes chopped with knife and serve it enjoy.
