  1. 1 cupyellow Moong dal
  2. 1/2 cupMilk
  3. 1 cupSugar
  4. 1 tbspCashews
  5. 1 tbspRaisins
  6. 1/2 cupGhee
  7. 1/2 tspCardamon powder
  8. 1 tbspAlmond flakes

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and boil moong dal with some water in cooker.

    Cool it and grind in mixer to a fine paste.

  3. 3

    Heat ghee in a skillet and put cardamon powder, cashews and raisins.

  4. 4

    Add boiled and grounded moong and roast on medium heat.

  5. 5

    Add milk and sugar and cook on medium heat, stirring continuously.

  6. 6

    Roast it till ghee starts separate and halwa thicken.

  7. 7

    When it turns golden brown, switch off the flame.

  8. 8

    Garnish halwa with chopped almonds and serve.
