Sprouted Sweet brown rice Zongzi 100% whole grain 全谷物粽子
Zongzi is typically made with refined white sweet rice and are not very easy to digest. I replace refined white rice with sprouted short grain brown rice and short grain sweet brown rice at 1:1 in ratio. My stuffing is also very simple, a big jujube and 1/4 medjoor date place in the middle. It tastes just as good as classical Zongzi and with more nutritional value.

Stuffed Grape Leaves (Warak Enab or Yabrak)
This dish has been my favorite since I was a little girl. I loved it when my grandmother, may she rest in peace, made it. I always watched her prepare it. Now that I've grown up, I wanted to make it myself. This is my first time rolling grape leaves and cooking them, and they turned out very delicious, just like my grandmother used to make. I might have taken a while to cook them because I was always hesitant and afraid they wouldn't turn out well. Thankfully, with determination, I made them, and I was expecting the worst, but they turned out very successful.

My Mother’s Favorite Breakfast: Cháo Sườn(Pork Rib Porridge)
Memories come back to you in a most sudden and strange ways. A smell, a sound, a sight, a touch, a taste.I felt a little bit under the weather. I needed to eat, but didn’t know what to have. Suddenly the taste of my mother’s favorite breakfast came to my senses: her pork rib porridge. My mother loved good and simple foods. She was a quiet, witty, charming, and strong lady. Very strong, indeed.I know that her porridge will nourish me back to my normal self.I love it for Its sweetness and nuttiness.I love it because it takes me back to my childhood. But most of all, I love it because it brings back the memories of my mother.I love her and miss her so.

Crunchy Natto and Cheese Fritters
The "Mrs. Corn" recipe that COOKPAD user Muu uploadedwas really delicious, so I thought about making a "Mr. Okra" version. But when I checked my refrigerator I found I had some natto that was about to expire... I wondered if a natto fritter could be delicious?! I gave it a try and it was delicious. Enjoy it with plenty of lemon, grated daikon radish and soy sauce, or mentsuyu. Nutrition info per 1 serving - 431 kcal, 17.2 g protein, 24.8 g of fat, 33.4 g carbohydrates. Please be careful not to burn the fritters. I have been asked about what to do with the included sauce and mustard that comes with a packet of natto. You can mix it into the batter as a flavoring, which is also delicious. Just be careful as adding the sauce and mustard makes the fritters even more liable to getting burnt. Recipe by ShinonomeA

Red Beans and Rice
This was an accidental recipe that I have made now several times and each time I find it amazing! I prefer my red beans spicy and use more Cajun spice than some care for. Season it according to taste and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Western-style Bean Rice with Basil
I came up with this because I wanted to make a bean rice dish with a twist. I was really satisfied with the result. It's easy to make and it looks really nice.-This time, I used chickpeas, pinto beans, red kidney beans and edamame.-Use canned beans if you don't have much time.-Substitute half the amount of water you cook the rice in with the water left over from boiling the beans. It's really tasty.-Water left over from boiling the chickpeas has a light colour, which gives an attractive finish. Recipe by Sumireno usagi

T' Jim's New Orleans Red Beans & Rice
"I love you once, I love you twice. I love you more than red beans and rice.", so they say here in Louisiana. There is a common misconception that this dish is Cajun, but in fact; it is more Creole/New Orleans that has Cajun influences. Typically back in the old days, red beans and rice were always made on Monday because that was "Wash Day" and housewives could put on a pot in the morning and let them simmer all day while they attended to the wash.

Easy Sekihan in a Rice Cooker
Sekihan rice is an essential part of family birthdays or celebrations. Making it with glutinous rice makes it really chewy and delicious, but adding a small amount of white rice reduces any stickiness and also keeps the glutinous texture. It was so delicious that it became our family's regular dish.Take care not to overcook the adzuki beans. Simmer slowly over low heat, and occasionally add some water. The reason why it's a little over 4 cups on the "okowa" mark, rather than exactly 4 cups, is because there's regular grain rice mixed into the glutinous rice.
