Boiled Potatoes with Buttered Corn

There was a recipe for chicken wings, potatoes and corn simmered in canned corn liquid in a supermarket flyer some time ago. I used to make it a lot, but I wondered if I could make a simpler version, so I adapted it to make a meatless boiled potato version.

I used half a can of corn. I didn't evaporate the liquid too much. For 3 servings. Recipe by Harukarubi

Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 5Potatoes
  2. 1 canCanned corn
  3. 20 gramsButter
  4. 2 tbspSoy sauce
  5. 1 tbspSugar
  6. 2 1/2to 3 tablespoons ☆ The liquid from the canned corn

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the ☆ ingredients together. Cut the potatoes into small pieces and wash. Boil the potatoes until they can be easily pierced with a skewer.

    Drain the potatoes and rinse out the pot. Put the ☆ ingredients in the pot and bring to a boil. Add the potatoes and coat with the ☆ ingredients.

    Add 20g of butter and as much corn as you like. Shake the pan to evenly distribute the ingredients and to evaporate the liquid. Finished!

    I used this brand of canned corn, which has 198 g. There was about 3 tablespoons of liquid.
