I thought up a way to make 'roast beef' using juse one frying pan, to serve to guests.

Serve the roast beef slices with lemon if you like - it will look very nice! For 4 servings. Recipe by EnjoyKitchen

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 380to 400 grams Beef round (block)
  2. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  3. 100 ml● Red wine (cooking sake is OK too)
  4. 100 mlMirin
  5. 50 mlSoy sauce
  6. 50 ml● Bottled yakiniku sauce (medium-hot)
  7. 2 tbsp◎ Heavy cream
  8. 1 clove◎ Grated garlic

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Mix the ● ingredients together in a measuring cup. Pat the beef dry and rub in some salt and pepper.

  2. 2

Brown the meat in a frying pan. (Choose a block of beef that's rectangular in shape if at all possible.)

  3. 3

Add the combined sauce to the frying pan and bring to a boil. Cook the beef for 2 minutes per side, for a total of 8 minutes.

  4. 4

Turn off the heat, put a lid on and leave to cool. When the beef has cooled down, put it with the sauce into a plastic bag, take out the air and leave to rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

  5. 5

Turn the meat over occasionally while it rests, to allow the sauce to penetrate it evenly.

  6. 6

Combine half of the liquid in the bag with the ◎ ingredients to make the sauce. I recommend dipping the meat in the sauce to eat it; it's delicious.
