Marinated Squid
This is also a good side dish in summer. You can exchange the squid for your favorite seafood like shrimp, scallop, salmon... It's important to drain the vegetables well and it's also good cold. Enjoy to your taste!

Salt and Pepper Squid
This is a different way of cooking Salt and Pepper. Im not sure if this was done like this before, but I just though of this now. Less transfers, less effort, less dishes. HeheheThe outcome is actually delicious. My hubby cant tolerate spices so I did not add chopped red peppers. You can add red peppers for a bit of sizzle.

Sauteed Squid and Zucchini with Anchovies
I used my favorite, locally caught squid in an Italian style saute with zucchini. It goes really well with wine or beer! The key points are to use anchovy filets, and the way the zucchini are sliced and sauteed. The zucchini slices are different sizes because I grew them myself so they aren't uniform...well, that's just an excuse. I recommend using zucchini that aren't too thick. Great in season! For 4 servings. Recipe by Risa papa

Whole Stewed Squid With Instructions for Preparation
Although this may appear to be a common recipe, since I wanted to eat it the innards, too, I devised my own method. If you want the squid to turn out soft and juicy, then cook for a shorter time than instructed. If overboiled, the squid will become tough, and will also lose it's sweetness and moisture. Recipe by Tomuraushi

Prepping Squid
I could not fit this procedure in my "Simmered Squid and Daikon Radish" recipe, so I uploaded it separately. The simmered squid can get tough and chewy, but I tried many ways to make it tender. Now I am using this method. The key is the boiling time. Be careful not to cook it too long or the squid will be tough and chewy. Recipe by -ringo-

Stewed Calamari in Tomato Sauce
Squid/ Calamari is one of my favorite things to eat. Only if it is cooked right. I used to buy squid for my pops a few times a year and he would make a delectable calamari in a tomato sauce. It was so tender and flavorful. Sadly, I never got him to write it down for me, but he did say just cook it a long time. What did that mean?I tried to make it myself a few times, since he passed. They all failed. Too tough. Too fishy. Etc, etc, etc. Finally, my wife suggested that we should just let it cook for a long time. Who am I to say no to my wife and dad?We did just that, with some carrots. Wow! Not what my dad made, but he would have loved it nevertheless. If you like it saucy, then one pound of squid is just find. But if like a touch of sauce, then use two pounds of squid. The carrots may seem to be an odd touch, but they add to the amazing flavor. Hopefully, you will enjoy this as much as we did.Enjoy!
