  1. 4 ozcod fillet
  2. Pinchsalt
  3. To taste, black pepper
  4. 1 tablespoonall-purpose flour
  5. 2medium potatoes (about 10 1/2 oz)

  9. 2 tablespoonsolive oil
  10. 1 tablespoonbutter
  11. 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  12. 1 tablespoonsugar
  13. 4 leaveslettuce
  14. Parsley, to taste

Cooking Instructions

    [Preparation] Julienne the potatoes and soak them in water. Pat dry with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper, and coat with flour.

    [Preparation] Pat the cod dry with paper towels, season with salt and pepper, and coat both sides with flour.

    In a skillet with olive oil, spread half of the julienned potatoes, place the cod on top, and start cooking.

    Place the remaining potatoes on top of the cod, sandwiching the fish between the potatoes. Cook over medium heat, cover with a lid, and steam for 7-8 minutes.

    Once the potatoes are browned, flip and cook the other side for another 7-8 minutes.

    In a separate pan, melt the butter, add soy sauce and sugar to make the sauce.

    Serve the lettuce and the potato-cod dish on a plate, pour the sauce from step 6 over it, and garnish with parsley if desired.
