Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgdates Seedless (nicely chopped)
  2. 2 tablespoonsChilli powder
  3. 3 tbspsGarlic (paste)
  4. 2 tablespoonsGarlic , chopped ,
  5. 1 tbspGinger (paste)
  6. 1/2 tspCumin seed
  7. 1/2 tspMustard
  8. 1/2 cupSugar
  9. 1/2 cupSeasme oil
  10. 3/4 cupVenegar
  11. as requiredWater (boiled and cooled to room temperature)
  12. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Grind chilli powder, cumin seed and mustard together.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan and add the garlic & ginger paste and  saute well. Then add the above mixture and saute again. Add the chopped garlic and stir well.

  3. 3

    Add vinegar, water and salt and bring it to boiling.

  4. 4

    Finally add dates and stir for a while and remove from heat and add sugar and leave it to cool.

Though I have learnt the ways and tricks of cooking through the Home Science course attended before marriage, it became a passion and excitement for me much later.
