no roll pie crust

easy to make and has good flavor. it's not the same as an old-fashioned roll out pie crust... but nice and tasty and perfect when you want to make a quick, no-fuss pie.

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupflour
  2. 2 tbspsugar
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 1/2 cupvegetable oil
  5. 2 tbspcold milk

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    sift flour, sugar and salt directly into a 9" pie plate.

  2. 2

    in a 1 cup measuring cup, whisk together oil and milk and pour over flour mixture.

  3. 3

    using a fork, mix until completely dampened. then press dough evenly over bottom of pie plate, then up the sides.

  4. 4

    you can now use this as an unbaked or baked pie shell.

    to bake it... preheat oven to 400°F. poke dough several times all along bottom and sides. bake for 12 - 15 minutes. allow to cool before filling.

My mom used a no roll pie crust for cream pies - was soo good. Would this work and would you bake this before filling???
