This is a recipe my mom gave me. It comes out wonderful. I did alter it a bit. Its really good served warm with vanilla ice cream. .enjoy!!

Ingredients

  1. 5 eachlarge apples peeled, cored & sliced
  2. 1 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  3. 1 1/2 cupgranulated sugar
  4. 1 eacheggs
  5. 1 stickmargarine
  6. 2 tspground cinnamon
  7. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  8. 1 tspbaking powder
  9. 1 pinchsalt

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oven to 350. Spray a 8x8 baking dish with pan coating. Arrange apples in 2 layers sprinkling with cinnamon. .i also added a little nutmeg and ground cloves. .. use 1/2 the brown sugar each layer.

    Dot the top with 1/2 the margarine.

    Add the dry ingredients together and combine well. Add the remaining margarine and mix with your hand until incorporated then mix in the egg until crumbly. Pour the topping mixture over apples.

    Bake about 40 minutes. I turned off the oven and left it in for 12 more minutes just keep an eye on it. .
