Cooking Instructions

Preheat over to 350º.

Lightly grease a cookie sheet and set aside.

For COOKIES: Cream together sugar amd shortening.

Add eggs and lemon extract and beat well.

Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. The dough should be soft and sticky.

With a small cookie schoop, drop dough onto the prepared cookie sheet, spacing them about 2" apart.

Bake for 12-15 min.s, or until firm and lightly brown.

Remove cookies from cookie sheet and allow to cool completly.

For ICING: Combine powdered sugar, water, and lemon extract and mix until smooth.

Sprwad icing onto thw tops ofbthe cookies with a metal spatula.

Allow cookies to dry before stacking.

Store in an airtight container.

~NOTE~ If you want to freeze the cookies, freeze uniced and add icing once thawed.
