Macaroni with fried meat

Ingredients

  1. 16 ounceselbow macaroni
  2. 1⁄4 cup butter
  3. 1⁄4 cup flour
  4. 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 dashblack pepper
  6. 2 cupsmilk
  7. 2 cupsshredded cheddar cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Cook macaroni according to package directions.

    In medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; stir in flour, and cook for 3-5 minutes to form a roux; add salt and pepper; slowly add milk, stirring well after each addition.

    Cook and stir until bubbly.

    Stir in cheese a small amount at a time until fully melted.

  5. 5

    Drain macaroni; add to cheese sauce; stir to coat.

  6. 6

    Serve with fried meat
