I really wanted a refreshing, healthy, delicious smoothie. Since my favorite local smoothie shop went out of business, I decided looking for a recipe as my own. I could not find the perfect one that called for what I had on hand, so I experimented. This is my final product.

Ingredients

5 mins
1 serving
  1. 1 cupfrozen fruit (strawberries, peaches, and mangos were used in mine.)
  2. 1banana- peeled (sliced frozen or unfrozen both work)
  3. 1handful of spinach-washed & stems removed
  4. 1/3 cupgreek or low fat yogurt (plain or vanilla will work, for an extra kick use some with fruit flavor)
  5. 1 tbsphoney
  6. 1/4 cupfavorite juice (orange, mango, apple or cranberry work well)

Cooking Instructions

5 mins
  1. 1

Lightly blend frozen fruit, banana, spinach, and yogurt in blender.

  2. 2

Add juice and honey, continue blending. More juice, berries, and yogurt can be added to your liking. Keep in mind more juice thins, frozen fruit thickens. Bananas and honey are a healthier way to add sweetness. Using frozen fruit eliminates chunks of ice.

  3. 3
