Ingredients

6servings
  1. Halfcup orange juice
  2. 2 tablespoonactive yeast
  3. 3 cupsflour
  4. 4 tablespoonsugar(adjust to taste)
  5. 3 tablespoonhoney for drizzling
  6. 1egg
  7. 4 tablespoonpowdered milk
  8. Warm water for mixing
  9. Quarter cup vegetable oil or melted butter

Cooking Instructions

    Add the four, yeast, sugar in a bow and set aside

    Heat the powdered milk and oil in an iron bowl. Pour the mixture inside the four mix.

    Break the egg, whisk and add it to the flour mix

  4. 4

    Add warm water to the orange juice

  5. 5

    Mix the flour mixture with the warm juice. If it's not enough, add warm water.

    Mix to get a sticky soft dough

  7. 7

    Place in a bowl, and keep in a warm place for 45minutes to rise. It should double in size.

    Place the dough on a clean smooth surface. If it's too sticky, work with more flour.

    Flatten out and cut out in small round circles, cutting out the centre.

    Allow to rise for another fifteen minutes

    Heat oil moderately and fry in batches
