I'm not sure what the English word for this dish is, but in Vietnamese it's "Chả cá chiên nước mắm". Hope you guys enjoy the recipe I put up.Because this dish has fish sauce, it will be relatively salty, with a little bit of chili, to soften the above flavors, eating with cucumber is a very good choice./ Vì món này có nước mắm nên sẽ tương đối mặn, còn có thêm chút ớt, để làm dịu các vị trên, ăn kèm với dưa leo là một lựa chọn rất ổn.Note: Don't let the garlic get too yellow before you put the fish in, it will burn easily like me./Lưu ý: Đừng để tỏi vàng quá rồi mới cho cá vào, sẽ dễ bị cháy như me.

I made this with mom when i was at home yesterday. Ya before eid come we usually give boxes of food for our neighbours (it's a common tradition here). I actually made 37 portions but here im gonna write for only 2 portions.

I love shio-buta (salt-cured pork), but adjusting the amount of salt is difficult. So I tried using nam pla for the marinade, and it went very well and the result was delicious.After marinating (or abandoning it?) for a week, it became really nice.It starts to mature after 3 days, so please let it marinate for at least that long.Please adjust the cooking time and temperature depending on your oven.I used the "two-way heat" setting on my oven, which doesn't require preheating.
