Ingredients

  1. Moong dal/ yellow gram lentils - 1 cup
  2. 2/3 cupGhee -
  3. 2/3 cupSugar/ cheeni -
  4. Water/ pani - 1 and 1/4 cup
  5. 1 tablespoonChopped dry fruits -

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wash the dal and soak for 4 hours.
    Drain the water and grind it in a mixer.

    Heat ghee in a pan and add moong dal paste. Sauté until ghee starts separating from the sides of the pan and dal turns into golden colour.

    Take another pan and add sugar and water. Make thin sugar syrup and add moong dal to it.

  4. 4

    Saute for another 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped dry nuts.

    Delicious and tasty 'Moong Dal Halwa' is ready to be served.
