Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsall purpose flour
  2. 1-2 cupswarm water
  3. Pinchsalt
  4. Vegetable oil

Cooking Instructions

    Knead dough until soft and pliable. Pinch balls from the dough to form round balls. Roll out one of the dough into round

    Spread oil evenly on the chapati

  3. 3

    Lift edge of the dough

  4. 4

    Make a slight fold

  5. 5

    Pinch the edge and make second fold/fan

  6. 6

    Pinch the fold together

  7. 7

    Make a third fold/fan and pinch edge

  8. 8

    Make a fourth fold/fan and pinch edge

  9. 9

    Makea fifth fold/fan and pinch edge

  10. 10

    Make the sixth fold/fan and pinch edge

  11. 11

    Lift last dough flap and pinch edge

  12. 12

    Press the folds/fans from the top

  13. 13

    All the way along the line to the end of the dough

  14. 14

    Start folding the folds to form a circle

  15. 15

    Finish until the dough is round

    Tuck the last piece under the dough

    How it should lool like

    Flour working surface, press dough gently

    Roll out dough into a round shape to your desired thickness

    Roll several before beginning to cook

    Add one chapati dough on pan

    Cook a few seconds, flip and spread oil on the first side

    Flip the chapati to the second side

  24. 24

    Spread oil on the second side

  25. 25

    Turn and cook until both sides are cooked and browned

  26. 26

    Soft layered chapati
