Ingredients

  1. 250 gmscabbage
  2. 200 gramsgram flour
  3. 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  5. 1 teaspoonginger grated
  6. 3-4 teaspoonssugar
  7. 2lemon juice
  8. Pinchbaking soda
  9. 1 cupcoriander
  10. 1 teaspoongreen chilli paste (can be made more hot as per taste)

Cooking Instructions

    First of all, cut cabbage and coriander as shown in the pic in a bowl. (Cut cabbage into a little thick so that cabbage taste is there after idlis are steamed)

    Now take gram flour in a second bowl.

    Now add little kashmiri red chilli powder, whole cumin seeds, turmeric, sugar, green chilli in gram flour.

    Now add cabbage and coriander in it. After stirring it, pour water in it. And make medium thick batter.

    Now Put a little water in a steamer and put it on the gas. Now make the khaira, stir well, add 1 teaspoon of oil and baking soda In it. (Baking soda only when you start making it).

    Grease oil in the Idli moulds put 1 tbsp idli khira in idli stand.sprinkle red chilli powder. And put it in pan, cover the lid and put it on fast gas for 10 minutes.Now with the help of knife check it if that idli is ready or not. Turn off the gas if it does not stick.

    Now cabbage Idli is ready to Serve with methiya sambhar and green chutney.
