Ingredients

  1. 1 cupgreen moong dal
  2. 1/2 cupgrated carrot
  3. 1/4 cupgrated cabbage
  4. 1/4 cupurad dal
  5. 1/2 tbspfenugreek seeds(methi dana)
  6. 1/2 tbsp ginger green chilli paste
  7. 2 tbsp finely Chopped Coriander
  8. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Combine the green moong dal, urad dal and fenugreek seeds in a deep bowl and keep a side To soke in enough water for 2hours. Drain well.

    Blend the green moong dal, urad dal and fenugreek seeds in a mixer along with approx. 1cup of water till smooth.

    Transfer the mixer into a deep bowl add the salt and mix well. Cover with a lid and keep a side to ferment for 4 hours.

    Once fermented, add the ginger green chilli peste, carrot, cabbage, and coriander and mix well.

    Pour spoonfuls of the better Into greased idli moulds and steam in a steamer for 12minuts.

    Cool slightly and demould. Serve immediately with sambhar.
