Methi na Gota is a popular snack on the streets of Gujarat. It is made from Besan (chickpea flour), black pepper, crushed coriander seeds, methi, salt, and eno. These are super easy to make. They are soft on the inside and a little crispy on the outside.You will find this on the menu of any snack store in Gujarat, at home during winters and monsoons and especially at Gujarati weddings.

Cooking Instructions

First of all, clean and chop the fenugreek and coriander. Sift the gram flour in a mixing bowl. Now add all the spices, coriander seeds,chopped green chilli, and salt. wash and strain both the leafy veggies and add them in gram flour mixture.

Add water as required to make a batter of bhajiya (gotas). Now add hot oil and baking soda to it and mix it with your hands for 2 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and fry the gotas/ fritters in oil on medium flame.

Methi Bhajiya/ fritters is ready. Serve it hot with green chutney and ketchup
