Ingredients

  1. 100 gmsMethi (washed and chopped)
  2. 50 gmsFresh Green Coriander Leaves chopped
  3. 1.5 cupBesan
  4. 1/4 cupRava
  5. 3-4Green Chillies finely chopped
  6. 1 tspBlack Peppercorns roughly crushed
  7. 1 tspCoriander Seeds roughly crushed
  8. 1 tspAjwain roughly crushed
  9. 1 tbspSugar
  10. As per tasteSalt to taste
  11. 1/4 tspBaking Soda
  12. As RequiredWater
  13. 2 tbspHot Oil
  14. As RequiredOil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Take besan, rava, finely chopped green chillies, roughly crushed black peppercorns, coriander seeds, ajwain, sugar in a mixing bowl and mix well.

    Gradually add water to make a thick batter. Make sure no lumps are there in the batter.
    Further add chopped methi, fresh green coriander leaves, and salt and mix well. Then add baking soda and add 1 tbsp hot oil on it and gently mix. Then add the remaining 1 tbsp hot oil and again gently mix.

    Heat oil in a kadhai on medium flame. Make lemon-sized balls from the prepared batter and deep fry them in hot oil on medium flame till it turns golden brown in colour from all sides. Remove on a paper napkin.

    Serve hot Methi Na Gota with tamarind dates chutney, curd, tomato ketchup, or fried green chilies, and enjoy !!
