Cooking Instructions

Wash the okra and pat dry with absorbent paper (it should be dry to cut or they will become slimy).

Slice of tops and and ends and discard. Slice okra crosswise into 1/2 inch thickness, keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and sir fry until light brown.Add cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and fry for few seconds.

Add tomatoes, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.

Add 1/2 cup water; mix well and let it simmer for 10 - 15 minutes till water dries out & oil separates.

Add okra; mix well and cook on low heat (stirring occasionally so they do not stick to the pan) until okra is done.

Serve with Chapati.
