1 serving
  1. 1 sliceSliced bread
  2. 1 smallTomato
  3. 1enough to cover the surface of the bread Mayonnaise
  4. 1/2 tbspPonzu
  5. 1/2to 1 tablespoon Grated cheese (Refer to Step 4 if you don't have it)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Spread the mayonnaise on the bread. Pour the ponzu in a small bowl, dip each piece of cut tomato, then lay on the bread.

  2. 2

Mix the grated cheese with the remaining ponzu, which should have some tomato juice, and mix. Spread on the tomato, especially around the edges. Toast the bread.

  3. 3

If you use cherry tomatoes, a lot of juice might come out, but it will be fine. Just pour it all on the toast.

  4. 4

If using halved tomatoes, lay on the bread cut side up.

  5. 5

If you don't have grated cheese, make a mock version with sliced cheese
