Cooking Instructions
- 1
Spread the mayonnaise on the bread. Pour the ponzu in a small bowl, dip each piece of cut tomato, then lay on the bread.
- 2
Mix the grated cheese with the remaining ponzu, which should have some tomato juice, and mix. Spread on the tomato, especially around the edges. Toast the bread.
- 3
If you use cherry tomatoes, a lot of juice might come out, but it will be fine. Just pour it all on the toast.
- 4
If using halved tomatoes, lay on the bread cut side up.
- 5
If you don't have grated cheese, make a mock version with sliced cheese

- 6
If the tomatoes are too sweet, sprinkle with a bit of salt while eating. Savor that sweetness with each mouthful.
- 7
A version with shiitake mushrooms.

Delicious! One More Slice! Tomato Toast Delicious! One More Slice! Tomato Toast
I made this quick and easy recipe based on a pizza recipe, which was on a supermarket leaflet.I'm not fond of raw tomatoes, but I wondered about grilled tomatoes, and it was so good I couldn't stop eating it!★If you toast it together with the juice, you can enjoy the different textures of the soft parts where the juice was absorbed and the nicely toasted crunchy parts (Whatever you like!)★I like it well-toasted, but adjust the toasting time, salt, juice content (?) to taste. Pizza Toast Pizza Toast
Everyone has had some sort of version of this. After grocery shopping, I really didn’t have the energy to cook anything intricate. This was quick and easy but nonetheless delicious. * it’s important not to overdo the sauce and veggies. You don’t want the water content in the vegetables to make the bread saugy. Karl -

Margherita-style Toast Margherita-style Toast
I got the idea for this when I was making "Brandy's" Half and Half Pizza. I wanted to enjoy the taste of pizza Margherita for breakfast and also to use up leftover mozzarella.Make sure you use cherry tomatoes. They are sweet, and go well with the umami of the cheese and the basil, so you don't need seasonings. If you prefer a saltier taste, mix salt in with the olive oil before you spread it on the bread, or lightly sprinkle right before eating. Tarako & Mayonnaise Toast Stread Tarako & Mayonnaise Toast Stread
I saw sliced baguettes topped with tarako at a bakery sold as "Tara-Mayo."I don't really like baguettes, so I decided to try making it myself with sliced bread.I recommend spreading a decent amount of the sauce thickly on the bread, as opposed to a thin layer.Toast it until the surface of the taiko becomes crispy, so that it breaks when you bite into it.This goes amazingly with beer!Use cheap tarako.
