Ingredients

5 people
  1. Burger slices-3(Pair of 2)
  2. Split Bengal gram(Chana dal)(soaked for 3 hrs)-1 cup(Patty Mixture)
  3. Ginger paste-1/2tbs(Patty Mixture)
  4. Garlic paste-1/2tsp(Patty Mixture)
  5. Onion(finely chopped)-1/8cup(Patty Mixture)
  6. Crushed peppers-1tsp(Patty Mixture)
  7. Salt-1tsp(Patty Mixture)
  8. Red chilly powder-1tsp(Patty Mixture)
  9. Garam Masala-1tsp(Patty Mixture)
  10. Cumin seeds-1/2tbsp(Patty Mixture)
  11. Coriander leaves-1/8cup
  12. Mint leaves-1tbsp
  13. Green chilly-1
  14. Lemon-1/4 small lemon juice
  15. Egg-1 whole and 1 egg white(Outer coating of patty)

Cooking Instructions

    Take chana Dal in a pressure cooker and add all the above ingredients mentioned for the patty mixture to it. Add little water just to cook the Dal. The mixture should be dry. Cook it in a pressure cooker till the 3 whistles. Once the air of the cooker is released automatically, open the lid of the pressure cooker. Wait till the mixture is cooled.

    Once this Dal mixture is cooled. Grind this to a smooth paste. Then add Coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilly and lemon juice to it to make this mixture more flavorful.

    Grind it together properly Then keep this mixture aside.

    Beat the egg with the help of a beater till you see the egg foam.

    Heat pan. Add oil. Pour egg mixture. Keep one patty over it again pour the egg mixture on top of it. Patty should be covered by the egg mixture. Once both the sides fried properly the patty Is ready.

    If you want you can slightly fry the burger in the same oil for that same taste else you can take the  burger as it is to avoid this.

    Now do the final assembly. Keep one Burger slice then apply the chutney(hot and spicy Tomato sauce with jaljeera powder) then the prepared patty, cheese slice, shredded lettuce leaves. You can also add one slice of tomato and one slice of onion to this. I have skipped here as my daughter do not like the raw taste of onion and tomato.  Above it keep another slice of Burger and repeat the process. I have prepared the Big(3 slices) burger. You can also make of 2 slices as per your choice.
