Ingredients

  1. For dal:
  2. 1/2 cup mix dal (green and yellw moong dal, red masoor, chana dal)
  3. 1chopped onion
  4. 1chopped tomato
  5. 2 pcgarlic chopped
  6. 1green chilli
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin and mustard seeds
  8. Pinchasafoetida
  9. As neededsalt
  10. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  11. 1 tsp coriander powder
  12. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  13. as neededFew coriander leaves chopped
  14. 1 tbsp oil
  15. As neededWater
  16. For batti:
  17. 1/2 cupwheat flour
  18. 2 tbsp chickpea flour
  19. 1 tbsp ghee
  20. Pinchsalt
  21. As neededwater for kneading
  22. For churma:
  23. 2batti
  24. 4 tbsp sugar
  25. 2cardamom pods
  26. as neededChopped dry fruits
  27. 2 tbsp ghee

Cooking Instructions

    In a cooker add washed dal, water and cover the lid and cook till 5 whistle in a low flame

  2. 2

    In a pan add oil, tempering, onion cook till translucent then add tomatoes and salt cook till soft

  3. 3

    Add powder masala mention cook till oil seperates add mashed dal adjust water add coriander leaves and let it cook for a while

    In a bowl add wheat flour, chickpea flour, ghee and salt mix then add water as required to prepare dough

    Prepare balls and cook in low flame, both sides in appe pan using ghee..

    In a mixer jar grind sugar and cardamom pods take it aside add cooked batti and grind coarsely

  7. 7

    In a pan add ghee and dry roast powder add sugar powder, dry fruits and cook for while and it's done to serve...
