Ingredients

serving 2..3 servings
  1. 8-10arvi peeled 🥀2 tbsp oil 🥀1 tsp mustard seeds
  2. 2 sprigscurry leaves/kadi patta 🥀1 tsp cumin seeds
  3. 2onion ground into paste
  4. 1 tspginger garlic paste 🥀2 to matoes finely chopped
  5. 1 cupfresh coconut ground into paste 🥀1 tsp turmeric powder/ha
  6. 2 tspred chilli powder 🥀2 tsp coriander powder 🥀2 tsp cumin po
  7. 1 tspfenugreek powder/methi powder 🥀1 lemon sized tamarind
  8. soaked in water
  9. to tastesalt

Steps

cook 25.30min.
  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds till they splutter.

  2. 2

    Add the cumin seeds, curry leaves and onion.

  3. 3

    Fry till the onion paste gets brown in colour

  4. 4

    Add the ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell vanishes.

  5. 5

    Put the peeled arvi, chopped tomato, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, fenugreek powder and salt and cover the lid.

  6. 6

    Cook until the arvi is tender..

  7. 7

    Add the coconut paste and soaked tamarind pulp and cook on low flame till the oil starts to float in the gravy,

  8. 8

    Garnish with coriander leaves

  9. 9

    Serve it hot with rice.or Chapati...
