Take all the ingredients in a bowl and rub with your fingers to incorporate the oil in the flour.

Add water and knead it to a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Now divide the dough into small balls and roll it out. Now flatten it out with roller pin. Now use a fork or knife to prick holes in the mathri.

Heat oil for deep frying, drop mathri in hot oil and fry it in a medium flame oil till golden.

Remove it cool it down and store it in an airtight container. At last, serve it.
