Steps

Wash 1/4 cup toor dal well. then transfer it to a cooker. Add 1 cup of water. After that add 1/3 tablespoon salt and turmeric powder.

Close the lid of the cooker. Cook it until 4 whistles comes on medium flame. After that turn off the flame. Allow to cool naturally.

Open the lid.whisk the cooked dal. Add some water if needed.

Heat a pan. Add 2 tbsp oil.once oil gets hot, add hing(asafoetida) and cumin seeds. Once cumin seeds get crackles add mustard seeds then add chopped garlic & green chilli.

Now add cooked (boiled) dal to the pan. Temper it. Mix it well.

Add some water as consistency you like.Boil the dal for 2-3 minutes.At last chopped coriander leaves.Turn off the flame.
