Indian Sweet Laddu Indian Sweet Laddu
This is an Indian confection that's often depicted in pictures of Hanuman and Ganesh. These are made very sweet in India, but I've decreased the amount of sugar and added a dash of rock salt to better suit a Japanese taste. For some reason, they go very well with very sweet chai.It will taste more genuine if you make your own cardamon powder by grinding whole green cardamons (shelled) with a mortar and pestle. You can get besan (gram flour) from Indian grocery stores. Apart from this dish, it is used for dishes like pakora (Indian fried vegetables). Recipe by Go-pa-ra cookpad.japan -

No-cook Roasted split gram laddu | Putani hittina laddu No-cook Roasted split gram laddu | Putani hittina laddu
I'm celebrating! What you ask?!There are so many reasons... Where do I start?! The weekend gone by was really special in many ways. It's been a year since I've been on a low sugar diet. Except for straying from the diet paste couple of months(...blame it on the mango season), followed very religiously and the results have been rewarding. It was a cousin's first wedding anniversary. My best wishes to the happy couple. 💕 Yeah, the same guy during whose wedding, I ate so many desserts that I decided to quit sugar from the very next day! That was the best decision I made in terms of dieting.I crossed a milestone on my blog ... 50 blogs in a span of less than three months. Not that I was keeping a count... WordPress tells me so. Best of all, it was my sister's birthday. The best big sister one could ask for! We have so many memories together and one of those happens to be making these super duper delicious, quick and no cook putani hittina laddus (roasted split gram laddus) whenever we craved for something sweet..Roasted Chana Dal is also called as daria dal, roasted split gram, puffed gram, phutana, pappulu / putanalu pappulu in telugu, putani / hurigadale in kannada. Roasted gram is rich in manganese, folate, protein, dietary fiber, copper, phosphorous and iron..Follow me onInstagram- @TheRedPlateChroniclesFacebook - TheRedPlateChroniclesWordPress - http://theredplatechronicles.home.blog The Red Plate Chronicles -

A Sweet Paneer and Milk Dessert: Ras Malai A Sweet Paneer and Milk Dessert: Ras Malai
This dessert, which is served at wedding feasts in India too, is a great dish to serve to guests that everyone likes. People talk about "that ras malai served at that wedding..." years after the fact.In India, fall and winter are the seasons for festivals. So I made this to fit the seasons. In step 2, if the cheese mixture doesn't come together even after kneading for 5 minutes, try adding 1-2 drops of water.Chill well in the refrigerator, and eat the same day you make it or as soon as possible. It's so delicious that once you have it, you won't be able to forget it. It's ideal to serve as a dessert to guests. Recipe by Plabar cookpad.japan -
