Let’s make bún chả with HNFood for this weekend!
Steps
- 1
First, go to the market to buy the ingredients listed above.
Cut the rice vermicelli noodles into shorter lengths for easier eating and place them on a plate. - 2
Season the ground pork with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon fish sauce, 1 tablespoon honey, a pinch of pepper, and 1 finely chopped shallot. Mix well and let marinate for 30 minutes.
- 3
Heat a deep pan with enough oil to submerge the tofu. Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces and fry until golden brown.
- 4
After marinating, shape the pork into small, flat patties. Arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes.
Alternatively, you can cook them in an air fryer or pan-fry them. - 5
Arrange the cooked pork, fried tofu, and fresh herbs on a plate.
Prepare a side of sweet and sour pickled carrots and daikon to serve with the meal.
Serve bún chả with sweet and tangy fish sauce dipping sauce.
Dipping sauce recipe: Mix 5 tablespoons water, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon vinegar or lime juice, and 2 tablespoons fish sauce.
