Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Centigrade and prepare the baking tray.

Prepare the dry ingredients by sifting the flour, salt, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon and keep aside.

Cream the butter and sugar until pale. Add the glucose syrup and continue mixing. Add the egg and beat some more until well incorporated.

Add the dry ingredients in two additions and continue mixing until well combined. The dough should be a bit sticky.

Using a spoon scoop out the dough in spoonfuls and roll them into balls. The balls should be small otherwise the cookies will spread too much when baked.

Put the balls on the baking tray and space them well. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes. Remove them while still soft for they will harden as they cool. Enjoy.
