Ingredients

  1. For The Dough:
  2. 1 tspsugar
  3. 2 1/2 tspyeast
  4. 1 cupwarm water
  5. 2 1/2 cupsflour
  6. 1/2 cupyellow cornmeal
  7. 1/4 tspsalt
  8. 1 tbspolive oil
  9. as neededcooking spray
  10. For The Veg And Meat Mixture
  11. 1 tbspolive oil
  12. 1 1/2 cupschopped green bell peppers
  13. 1 cupchopped onion
  14. 1 clovegarlic, minced
  15. 2 cupssliced mushrooms
  16. 2 tspdried oregano
  17. 1 lbpork sausage
  18. 1 cupsliced pepperoni
  19. 1/4 tspsalt
  20. 2 tspyellow cornmeal
  21. 1 can (28oz)diced tomatoes (well drained)
  22. 8 ozshredded mozzarella
  23. 6 thick slicesdeli mozzarella cheese
  24. 6 thick slicesprovolone cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water in a mixer bowl let stand 5 minutes.

    Add flour, cornmeal, and salt and mix until blended. Add yeast mixture and Olive Oil until dough forms a ball. Knead with dough hook 5 minutes.

    Spray ball with cooking spray, cover. Let rise until doubled.

    Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.

    Add bell pepper, onion and crushed garlic, saute for 5 minutes.

    Add mushrooms, sausage dried oregano, and salt, saute 4 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat, let cool.

    Punch dough down, cover and let rest for 5 minutes.

    Roll dough into a circle on a lightly floured surface. Place the dough into round pan coated with cooking spray and sprinkled with 1 tablespoon cornmeal, press dough up sides of pan. Cover and let rise 20 minutes or until puffy.

    Spread vegetable / meat mixture over dough. Add the pepperoni. Top with crushed tomatoes. Sprinkle oregano over sauce.

    Lay out cheese over pizzas.

    Bake at 475 degrees fahrenheit for 15 minutes.

    Reduce temperature to 375 degrees fahrenheit, and bake an additional 20-25 minutes or until done.

. Check out my recipes as I add them. I bake, cook many types of food and I love to Smoke beef and pork. I use an offset wood smoker with an Bluetooth digital thermometer. If im feeling lazy I just go to my son's house and use his Traeger Grill. 😁 Fire and forget is boring LoL but yummy also. As the saying goes, " It's hot, brown and lots of it". I'm also working on a small cookbook for family. ❤️
