Steps

Sieve gram flour in a wide bottom dish. Add in turmeric, black pepper, carom seeds and salt.

Using little water at a time make a stiff dough. Grease it with oil and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes knead the dough and make small balls from the dough.
Heat the oil on medium heat. - 4
Roll small round thin discs and make indents using a fork. Once all vanva are rolled, deep fry them on medium heat until lightly golden brown. Enjoy with a cup of tea
