Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Mix the shredded pork with the marinade and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
- 3
Cut the carrot, wood ear mushrooms, tofu, and duck blood into strips and set aside.
- 4
Boil a pot of water, add the bonito flakes, cook for about 5 minutes, then strain out the bonito flakes.
- 5
Add the carrot, wood ear mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms and bring to a boil.
- 6
Add soy sauce, black vinegar, and white pepper to season.
- 7
Stir well and bring to a boil again.
- 8
Add the tofu, bamboo shoots, and duck blood.
- 9
Once boiling, add the shredded pork.
- 10
Beat the egg, and once the pork is cooked, slowly pour the egg along the chopsticks into the soup.
- 11
Do not stir immediately; wait for the egg to set slightly before stirring to create beautiful egg ribbons.
- 12
Mix the cornstarch with 3 1/3 tablespoons (50 ml) of water to make a cornstarch slurry, then pour it into the pot to thicken the soup, and it's ready to serve.
- 13
Drizzle with sesame oil.
- 14
Delicious hot and sour soup is ready to serve. Sprinkle with cilantro to taste before drinking.
