Ingredients

4 servings
  • 250 gmskarela/bittergourd
  • 1 tspcumin seed
  • 4green chillies
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspred chilly powder
  • 2-3 tspred kashmiri chilly powder
  • 2 tspdhaniya jeera powder
  • 1 tspfennel/saunf powder
  • 2-3 tspdessicated coconut
  • 1/4 tsphing
  • 2-3 tspsesame seeds
  • 2 tbspsesame oil
  • 1lime juice
  • 1 tspsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash, clean and cut the karela in round shape.

  2. 2

    Heat oil, crackle cumin seed and add hing, green chillies. Add all spices, salt. Add the karela.

  3. 3

    Cook till done. Add dessicated coconut, mix well. Switch off the gas. Finally add lime juice.

  4. 4

    Remove in a serving bowl. Dry roast sesame seeds and spread it over the karela and enjoy it with roti
