Sig's Quark with Strawberries

This is a dessert dish my mum made for us in summer. She would use vanilla sugar but I have used vanilla extract as I not had prepared any sugar. #mycookbook #dessert #strawberries

Steps
- 1
Hull the strawberries, sprinkle with the salt, just cover with water, set aside for 10 minutes or so, the remove them from the salted water, rinse strawberries under clear water. Cut them into halves or quarters.
- 2
Whilst the strawberries are in the salted water you can prepare the quark or creme fraiche. Put quark into clean bowl, add the cream, sugar and vanilla extract or vanilla sugar, mix thoroughly. Taste mix and adjust to your liking.
- 3
When you have washed strawberries under clear water and halved them add them to the quark mixture, put the mixture into fridge for an hour or so. Either put the dessert into individual dishes or serve out of the bowl. Decorate if you like with grated chocolate.
