Wash the prawn and clear it properly. Now Marinate it with salt and turmeric powder. In a pan add mustard oil. Saute them slightly. Keep it aside.

In the same pan add the sliced onions. Fry it till brown and keep it aside. In the same oil now add bay leaf and dry red chilli add the sugar. This is for colour. Now add the onion paste and saute it till pink. Now add the ginger and garlic paste. Saute it.

Now add the chopped tomatoes. Saute it till it becomes soft. Now add turmeric, redchile, dhaniya and jeera powder. Let all the masala cook. Till oil starts coming out of it. Now add the diced capsicum. Now add little water so that the masala is cooked well.

Now add the fried onions and slit green chiles. Now add the prawns. Add salt to taste. Finally add the garam masala. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
