Ingredients

4 people
  • 2 cupRice
  • 1 cup Urad daal/White lentil
  • 1/4 tsp Citric acid
  • 1/4 tspCitric acid
  • 1/4 tsp Nimbu phool
  • To TasteSoda bi carb
  • 1/2 cupThick Green Chutney
  • 2 tsp Cooking Oil
  • 3 tspTempering/ Tadka
  • 1 tspCooking Oil , Mustard Seeds/ Rai

    Instructions

    Wash and soak rice and urad dal in enough water for 7-8 hours.

  2. 2

    Grind rice and daal to make a smooth paste like idli batter.

  3. 3

    In a bowl take 1/4 tsp of soda/eno,1 tsp oil and 2 tsp water and mix well.

  4. 4

    Boil some water in a steamer and grease the dhokla plates.

  5. 5

    Arrange these plates in the steamer and cover the steamer with a lid.

  6. 6

    Now apply chutney on one dhokla (on the rough side).

  7. 7

    Place other dhokla over it(keep the rough side over the chutney)

    Heat oil in a small pan and add the tempering ingredients.

    Garnish with chopped coriander and serve
