Pan-fried Cheesy Asparagus

Many people cook this dish in the oven, but I don’t want to heat up the oven just to make this dish. Pan-frying is more energy-efficient. The top of the cheese won’t get browned when cooked in a frying pan, but the bottom gets browned. For an everyday meal, this is good enough for me.

Steps

Trim Asparagus and cut in half. Finely chop up Garlic.

Drizzle Olive Oil over a frying pan and arrange Asparagus pieces. Scatter with chopped Garlic. Sprinkle with Water, and Salt & Pepper. Cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for a few minutes.

When the water in the pan is evaporated, remove the lid, and stir to combine. Then rearrange them in a single layer, scatter Cheese, cover with the lid, and cook for a few minutes until Cheese melts.

Remove the lid, and cook until slightly browned. Sprinkle with extra Black Pepper and serve.
