Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a large mixing bowl combine all the dry ingredients and whisk to combine.
- 2
Add in the wet ingredients and mix with a spatula to form a dough.
- 3
Knead afew times in the bowl to form a smooth dough ball.
- 4
Heavily flour a cookie sheet or flat surface with flour. Do same with a work surface and roll out the dough to about a 1/4 of an inch thickness, not too flat though.
- 5
Cut out the mini ring doughnuts and place them on the floured cookie sheet, gather the dough and re roll until you have used up all of the dough. (Cut the doughnuts however you like and any size you prefer, frying time however varies.)
- 6
Cover the doughnuts with a kitchen towel and let rise for about 30 - 40 minutes until doubled in size.
- 7
After proofing, in a saucepan, heat some oil (about 2 inches up the pan) until hot. Test the heat of the oil with a doughnut hole.
- 8
Fry the doughnuts for about 6 minutes. Flipping halfway through frying. Lower the heat if they are browning too quickly. Fry in batches so the temperature of the oil doesn't drop.
- 9
Take them out of the oil and place them on a cooling rack. If coating in sugar, this is the time while they are still warm.
- 10
Fry all the doughnuts and serve warm. These can be refrigerated for up to a week. Thaw and then microwave or refry. Enjoy!

Baked Doughnuts Baked Doughnuts
These are simply so good and just as delicious as fried doughnuts. This is a keeper for all your doughnut cravings and they go well with pretty much any toppings or stuffings. They do take a while to make as they are yeast doughnuts but they are more than worth it.If using active dry yeast, add to the wet ingredients and let sit for about 10 minutes before adding to the dry ingredients. Also, I made these in the evening so excuse me for the bad camera quality. Crispy & Soft Banana Potato Starch Donuts Crispy & Soft Banana Potato Starch Donuts
This is a variation of the katakuriko donuts recipe. I love donuts, and a long, long time ago there was a recipe in a sweets cookbook for banana fritters, so I decided to give this a try. These are easier to fry if the bananas are not too large. I'm pretty messy, so I always cut the banana on top of the removed peel, lol. Once you've mixed the batter and the banana fry as quickly as possible to take advantage of the power of the baking powder. After frying the banana will be pretty hot, so be careful not to burn yourself. Recipe by Satsuki519 cookpad.japan -

Cute Little Doughnut Bites Cute Little Doughnut Bites
When I make regular old fashioned doughnuts in a tray, they are so prone to breaking up.These small ones are easy for small children to eat, yet it's adult-like and they are bite sized. They are easy to make and everyone can enjoy them.Since the shape is a bit chunky, it's better to make a circle of oil and gently move them around, rather than turning them over and over. Also they all turn out the same color. If you use a 18 x 27cm plastic bag, it's better than using a dough bag because when you roll it out the thickness will be just right. For about 30-35. Recipe by Karenmamacchi cookpad.japan -
Melt-in-Your-Mouth Fluffy Doughnuts Melt-in-Your-Mouth Fluffy Doughnuts
I fervently wanted to eat doughnuts from a certain famous store chain...Since the ingredients are so close to what it takes to make bread, it's very fluffy. The dough is very soft, so when you go to fry it, put it gently into the pan.I wanted to make them slightly chewy and sticky so I tried using rice flour. However the texture turned out to be too hard, so I recommend you use bread flour. For 8 doughnuts. Recipe by sayata cookpad.japan -
Hint of Cinnamon Baked Sugar Doughnuts Hint of Cinnamon Baked Sugar Doughnuts
I do not like doughnuts.I just wanted to put that out there right off the bat. In no way do I like doughnuts. They do nothing for me. To me, they are greasy and very heavy. That is, until I tried Apple Cider Doughnuts and doughnuts from Doughnut Plant on West 23rd Street in the New York City. The doughnuts there are a work of art. I highly recommend them.Recently, someone suggested to me that I should try baked doughnuts. Supposedly, they are not greasy and heavy, since they are not fried. As usual, I picked and chose ingredients from different recipes to make them the way that I like them, since I am so picky. My wonderful & beautiful wife and I bought some doughnut pans and came up with this recipe. At first, I was skeptical if I would like them, but I really do like them. They are so good.As my wife suggested, this recipe is a great starting point. We can use this as our basis and go from there. I hope that you enjoy them as much as we do.These doughnuts make a dozen 4 inch doughnuts.Enjoy! J.A.B. -

Pancake Mix Fried Doughnuts Pancake Mix Fried Doughnuts
I wanted to make something similar to Sata Andagi (Okinawan doughnuts) and doughnuts similar to Mister Donut, so I used pancake mix to recreate them at home.Tips:- Because the dough is soft, when you wet your hands to handle the dough and work quickly. Wet your hands each time you form the donuts.- Even if the shape isn't perfect when you drop the dough in the oil, it will eventually expand into a sphere, so it will be fine!- If you don't deep fry on low heat, then they will most likely scorch.(Recipe by Hamumaki) cookpad.japan
