Sirloin steak open toasted sandwich with caramelized onion and cheese recipe
Steak is safe bet when trying to please a crowd. These open steak sandwich appetizers are similar to a traditional Spanish tapa and are a great dish to serve at a party!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare an emulsion of Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain, mustard and honey, and brush it all over the meat.
- 2
Cook in a frying pan and, when you turn it over, add a little more Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain to make it even more crispy, golden and delicious.
- 3
Cut the steak into thick slices and complete your open toasted sandwich by topping with caramelised onions and some hunks of cheese. Just the mere smell of this dish will have your neighbours consumed with envy. Healthy envy, obviously. Because this dish, apart from being delicious, is 100% healthy.

Satisfying Beef Steak Sandwich Satisfying Beef Steak Sandwich
My son said he wanted to eat bread with steak in it. I reduced the meaty odor with red wine, and then used olive oil to prevent the meat from drying up. I also added honey as I've heard that it makes meat tender. This mixture, also with soy sauce and fragrant grainy mustard, makes an amazing marinating sauce.I usually do the prep the night before. I used imported meat, but I recommend you use Japanese beef because it's more tender. Recipe by Ruruoka cookpad.japan -
