Ingredients

3-4 servings
  1. 3.5-4 cups[200-230gm] flour
  2. 1.5-2 tsp[5-7gm] instant yeast
  3. 1 tsp[7.5gm] salt
  4. 1 tsp[5gm] sugar
  5. 1.5 cups[300ml] warm water

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the sugar with instant yeast and a bit of water

  2. 2

    Add the salt and gradually add the flour

  3. 3

    Mix the water and flour with the stick end of a wooden spatula

  4. 4

    Then mix with hand really well till smooth for about 5 mins

  5. 5

    Leave to rise for about 45-60 mins

  6. 6

    Use flour or water to avoid sticking to hands and divide into 2 without letting airs come out

    Gently flatten into round circle then gently roll into a sausage shape

  8. 8

    Stick the end of the dough to the body with water by pinching

  9. 9

    Leave to rise for half an hour or you can do quick rise in the oven for 10-15 mins at 50°C

    Cut strokes with a sharp blade wherever desired

  11. 11

    Preheat oven to 230° and place a cup of water at the bottom of the oven

  12. 12

    Cook the bread till done
